This lake home is on Lake Sylvia, near Annandale, MN.  The wood is Douglas Fir.  The frame is an L-shape, with a 90' leg and a 60' leg.  There's a 30' tower where the two legs meet.  The architect is Rehkamp Larson, of Minneapolis.  The general contractor is Bruce Prevost Construction, of Annandale.

This home was selected "Home of the Month" for August 2010 by the Minneapolis StarTribune.

This home also appeared on the front cover of the August 2008 issue of Timber Home Living Magazine, and was featured in their 2009 Annual Buyer's Guide.

 

The place is just phenomenal.  The beauty of the wood is so impressive; there's really no way we could have achieved that feeling without a true timber frame.
