This lake home is on Lake Sylvia, near Annandale, MN.
It got the name "Copper House" from the siding, which consists of large copper
plates. The frame is shaped like a prow, and measures 36' x 50'.
The wood is Douglas Fir. The general contractor for this project was
Bruce Prevost Construction, of
Annandale.
When our extended family decided to build a
lake home, we went looking for someone who we could trust and who
had the ability to both guide the overall project and handle each detail. We found all of
that and more when we started working with Clark Bremer and Northern
Lights.
During the whole process, Northern Lights:
- Kept us informed of the schedule so we could plan other
activities.
- Helped us make design decisions by cleanly outlining the options
available to us.
- Offered design suggestions for our consideration without pushing
any of them.
- Really listened to what we were saying and often went beyond what
we were asking for and identified the effect we were looking for and
then addressed it.
